Carey is a Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience and the founder of both Thrive Wyoming and High Point Counseling, a mental health practice established in 2016. Originally a Wyoming transplant, Carey has come to love the state and proudly calls it home. Thrive Wyoming was born from Carey’s desire to give back and address the mental health challenges faced by individuals across the state—especially those in rural communities or struggling to afford care. After attending a suicide awareness event with Governor Gordon in the fall of 2024, Carey felt a renewed sense of purpose to take action. Outside of work (which Carey jokingly calls a favorite hobby), Carey enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
Kayleen Logan received her Master's of Science degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing in 1984 from the University of Colorado Health Science Center. She then taught for two years as an associate professor at the University of Wyoming. In June of 1986, Kayleen started working at Southwest Counseling until she retired on June 12, 2020. She feels honored to be the first Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner licensed in the State of Wyoming. Additionally, Kayleen worked for over 25 years with an international accrediting organization, traveling throughout all Canadian provinces and all but three states. Kayleen feels truly honored to be a part of Thrive, and hopes to utilize her experience in the field to assist others in achieving their goals and obtaining the assistance they need.
As a dedicated senior living executive and the Executive Director for Deer Trail Assisted Living, Jeffrey Smith combines high-level operational expertise with a profound commitment to compassionate care. Currently serving as the President of the Wyoming Assisted Living Association, Jeffrey holds an MBA in Health Administration and is fluent in Spanish, bringing a sophisticated, inclusive perspective to the industry. His leadership style is forged from a remarkably diverse career—ranging from serving as a Sweetwater County Commissioner and an award-winning broadcast journalist to leading national training for SkyWest Airlines and operating multiple successful franchises. This unique blend of public service, corporate strategy, and storytelling has instilled in him a steady focus on empathy, clarity, and doing what’s right. Driven by the core belief that every individual deserves to feel valued and heard, Jeffrey is a champion for creating environments where residents, families, and staff don't just reside, but truly thrive.
Kim Cutler moved with her family to Rock Springs in 2011 and has loved raising her three children here with her husband, Ken. She is the Operations Manager at High Point Counseling and is actively pursuing her Mental Health Administrative Professional (MHAP) credential. Kim’s passion for mental health is deeply personal, shaped by experiences that have shown her both the struggles and triumphs of the journey. She hopes to use her strengths in organization and resourcefulness to support this mission and contribute in meaningful, lasting ways.
Amberlee Beardsley is a mom, Gigi, and teacher with a passion for promoting mental health awareness and access across her community. Through her work with Thrive Wyoming Foundation, she brings a compassionate, community-driven approach to helping families and individuals thrive—both in and out of the classroom.
Josh Sorensen is a proud father of 6 children. He and his wife Becca have raised their kids in Rock Springs, Wyoming where they have lived for 19 years. Josh is excited to serve on the board of Thrive Wyoming, as he has seen firsthand the challenges of mental health in his own family and the additional challenge of the cost burden and access limitations faced by those in need. Josh is President of Mountain States Pressure Service, an oilfield service company with offices in Rock Springs, WY and Pittsburgh, PA. Josh’s education includes a Masters in Accountancy from the University of Utah, as well as BS in Accountancy from the University of Wyoming. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the states of Texas and Wyoming. Josh currently serves on the School Board for Sweetwater County School District # 1 and the University of Wyoming booster club board of directors.

A proud Oregon Ducks fan, Anna is also a loving mom of two, with a big heart for the many foster kiddos who’ve been part of her family. She’s a “fur grandma” to Nova, and when she’s not championing her community, you’ll often find her in the kitchen cooking or baking. Above all, Anna is a true cheerleader for the people she loves—always uplifting and supporting those around her.
